About Me

Howdy!

I love to paint miniatures!  How about you?

The end results are do vary, sometimes it’s the late night before a tournament, making sure everything is painted.  Sometimes it’s the scale of the project which comes with a sense of achievement when it is all completed.  Then, there is the centre-piece miniature.

You know the one. Open the packet, it makes you go ‘oooh’.  There’s only a token number of mold lines and the imagination starts running.  You sit down to paint, and the colours flow exactly where you want them.  The transitions are bang on.  The highlights are dazzling and the depths are like an abyss.  Pride. Achievement.

There are also quiet times, when real-life takes charge and other things have to come first.  We also need to look after our bodies and make sure we are being physically active.  I will include some of my activities in this Blog, just to keep you on your toes eh!

This blog has come about since the time has come to move some miniatures on.  Forums and Auction sites frustrate me no end!  I need to be in control of what is going on here.  Image hosting stuff sucks, I needed an alternative, and here we are. \

I look forward to you joining me in this adventure.  I will post completed miniatures, armies and basings as the occur.  Sometimes I will trial new techniques in painting and sculpting and ask for your thoughts. They would be appreciated. and aren’t WiP’s a necessity on this sort of thing?  Occasionally I crack out the miniatures for special occasions, such as playing games.

I have played many games over the years.  At the moment, Kings of War is just the right flavour, and Warpath, both from Mantic Games. I have a little Bolt Action, Dropzone and Dropfleet Commander and am looking forward to Dystopian Wars V3 coming soon.

See you around
